Association of Russian leading Universities Visit to USA
In the framework of cooperation between the American Association of Universities (AAU) and the Association of Russian leading Universities the visit of Russian Universities' leaders(managers) wil take place in USA on 9 — 16,April,2011. The visit as the first step to systemic and mutually benificial relations between Russian and American Universities is organized by the New Eurasia Foundation in partnership with the Association of Russian leading Universities, Russian Ministry of Education and Scienc, American International education councils — American program partner.
Thirty four Russian Universities' top leaders will take part. They will represent the following Russian Leading Universities:
Bauman Moscow State Technical University (the National Research University of Engineering and Technology)
Boris Eltsin, First Russian President Urals Federal University
Far Eastern Federal University
Irkutsk State Technical University
Lobachevski State University of Nizhniy Novgorod — National Research University
Kazan State Technological University
N. G. Chernyshevsky Saratov State University
National Research University ‘Higher School of Economics’
Northern (Artic) Federal University
North-Eastern Federal University named after M. K. Ammosov
Perm State University
Saint Petersburg State University
Saint Petersburg State University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics (ITMO)
Saint Petersburg State Polytechnical University

Tomsk State University (National Research University)
The Russian Ministry of Education and Science leaders, New Eurasia Foundation and «Skolkovo» Foundation representatives will also participate as delegates. During the Visit a number of meetings with the largest American Universities' leadership will be organized for the Russian delegation. In the frame of «Russian Day» at the Annual session of the Association of American Universities the delegates will get acquainted with three Maryland University Techno Parks and three North Carolina Universities that are included into the Research Triangle Program for promoting University science to the world market.
Meetings with the most significant US foundations in the area of higher education development and university science support will be held. A range of discussions with the key US business representatives will be arranged in the framework of the US-Russia Business Council meetings.
Russian universities will receive the opportunity not only to discuss the perspective educational projects but also to find business-partners among the biggest US business companies.
