The Russian Studies course is developed by the twin universities UiT (Norway) and NArFU (Russia) with the hopes to build knowledge of Russia and stimulate interdisciplinary thinking. Initially created for the exchange students from Nordic countries, now the program attracts students from all over the world and enables international students to get knowledge about Russian history, culture, language and society by offering them a semester program at the Russian university.
Our mission is to create opportunities for students to get progress in studying Russia while staying in Russia so that in their later academic careers the students could be in a position to work on a self-sufficient basis in the learning Russian subjects.
