Post-Doctorate Study

Doktorantura (post-doctorate study) is a post graduate level education in Russia following Ph.D. In order to get doktor nauk (Doctor of science) degree candidates must have publications in peer-reviewed journals and defend a dissertation in front of senior academic board.

NArFU offers research training of a high international standard, with a broad range of subject areas and strong research environments.

Admission requirements:

  • Ph.D. degree
  • Research and/or teaching work experience for at least 5 years
  • Work experience at NArFU for at least 1 year
  • Research achievements
  • Approved dissertation proposal
  • Application documents:
  • Personal application;
  • Letter of support from home institution;
  • Certified copy of a Ph.D. diploma;
  • Certified copy of an academic rank certificate;
  • Documentation proving the length of your teaching and research experience;
  • Documentation proving the duration of your employment at the home organization;
  • Certified list of your scientific works and achievements stamped and singed by the leader of your home institution;
  • Abstract of minutes of the home institution Academic Senate meeting on your doctoral research theme approval;
  • Research plan;
  • Letter of consent on supervision by your prospective academic advisor;
  • Documentation on the project fellowship to conduct research on your dissertation theme;
  • Agreement.
