In 2021 NArFU will be launching a new Master’s degree programme entitled «Management and Ecology in the Energy Sector».

On November 13-14, the All-Russian Youth Scientific Online Conference "Modern Technologies in the Translation Industry. Machine Translation: from Stereotypes to New Opportunities" was held at NArFU. The conference took place as part of the All-Russian Festival "SCIENCE 0+". The organizer of the conference was the Specialized Department of Automated Translation Technologies based at the Translation Agency “AKM-West”. The conference was dedicated to the second anniversary of the department.
By the decree of the Russian Federation President, 2020 was declared the year of the great Russian writer and translator Ivan Bunin's 150th anniversary celebration. Ivan Bunin was born on 10 (22) October, 1870. This year, the 150th anniversary of the first Russian Nobel Prize winner for Literature and double Pushkin Prize honoree (1903-1909) is widely celebrated both in Russia and all around the world.

On 3 November 2020, an online meeting of NArFU historians and students of American River College (Sacramento, California) was held. The American students are having a course in the Russian history this semester.
All-Russian Research School Dedicated to the Problems of the Russian North and the Arctic has Completed its Work
From 3 to 5 November 2020, the World History Department and the Student Scientific Society of the Higher School of Social Sciences, Humanities and International Communication organized the 7th All-Russian research school for students, postgraduates and young scientists "Russian North and the Arctic: Fundamental Problems of the Past and Present". Academic and Research Center "Lomonosov House" and the Government of the Arkhangelsk Region provided support in arranging the school.

The conference was organized with the support of the Yekaterinburg office of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) represented by its lecturer at the Ural Federal University Andrea Libshner.
Luleå University of Technology has hosted a webinar on metal additive manufacturing joined by 40 representatives of universities and businesses from Sweden, Finland, Norway and Russia.

International research project NDI Think Tank has recently hosted an online NDI Policy Brief Training day, a short hands-on training on writing policy briefs and recommendations intended for authorities and spanning the four core topics of the NDI (Transport and Logistics, Environment, Health and Social Welfare, and Culture) from the perspective of effective research-based communication.
