On 28-29 November representatives of all Kolarctic-supported projects met in Lulea, Sweden, in the framework of a new period of the Kolarctic CBC–Program. The event was organized by the Kolarctic Managing Authority and its Branch Offices.
During the festival there were discussed many problems on intercultural interaction among young people and problems of foreign students adaptation. Participants also had an opportunity to attended the lecture "Culture shock? Come and talk", poetry readings and presentations of nations and cultures.

On 12-14 November 2019 Vietnam National University of Forestry hosted celebrations marking the 55th Anniversary of its foundation. Northern Arctic Federal University was the sole Russian invitee to the event. On November 6, NArFU will launch the international project “De-Concrete: Eco-Efficient Arctic Technologies Cooperation” under the EU-Russia Kolarctic Cross-Border Cooperation Program. A consortium of five partner universities from three countries of the Barents region is faced with the task of developing new technological approaches for the recycling of building waste and proposing solutions for large and medium-sized industrial enterprises to reuse concrete in the production of building materials and the road industry.

Head of International Cooperation Department along with director of International Academic Mobility Center took part in Partners Day in Nord University (Norway). Event was taken on a global scale and included 27 universities from 16 countries.

In September 2019 the final 8th conference within the project “MARPART: Maritime preparedness and International Partnership in the High North” took place at Nord University in Bodo, Norway.
NArFU student dorms have been chosen by FAMARB: Facility Management of Residential Buildings in Barents region – a Kolarctic-funded project that seeks to enhance the interaction between industrial sectors and academic and research communities in Scandinavia and Northern Russia for better constructional technologies and life support systems – as a demo site for showcasing and testing of advanced HVAC technologies.
On September 12 NArFU signed a memorandum of understanding with the Vietnam National University of Forestry.
This year NarFU welcomed more than one thousand international students from 50 different countries.
As a traditional part of orientation period for new international students, many newcomers took part in Annual fest Malinova Uima.
The agreement was signed by the rector of NArFU Elena Kudryashova and the director of the Arkhangelsk branch of T2 Mobile Alexander Kulba. The main goal of the agreement is mutually beneficial cooperation between the university and T2 Mobile, aimed at improving the quality of education, the development of scientific research and cultural activities.
