Days of France in NArFU

From 2nd to 8th December Arkhangelsk holds the Days of France.

In the framework of the event the Institute of Philology and Cross-Cultural Communication of NArFU launched the exhibition-contest of agitation posters “Learn French!”. Students from NArFU and schoolchildren of the town participated in this contest.

“We know that our students and schoolchildren are very talented. We wanted them to show their abilities in drawing. They glorified the beauty of France with the help of paint. All of them did well, the whole contest appeared to be very interesting and colorful”, - said Natalia Yershova, French teacher of the Department of German and French Philology.

Guests from France attended the opening of this exhibition. They were delighted with the works of students and schoolchildren. For example, representative of the company "Total Exploration & Development Russia” Antoine Meunier admitted that the posters made him realize how lucky he was to be French and to live in this beautiful country.

NArFU also organized a presentation of a French agency “Campus France” for students and academic stuff. The main goal of “Campus France” is to boost the French system of higher education and to inform about different administrative procedures for students. The center also helps to get information about admission to the country’s universities and about scholarships. The center can also help to choose the best training program and to collect the documents for admission to the university.

On December 3 NArFU held an open lecture “Environmental protection” in the framework of the cycle of debates “Sustainable development”. The speaker was Antoine Meunier from the company “Total Exploration & Development Russia”.
