An international online IT School will be launched at Northern Arctic Federal University on 11 October 2021. The event will be held in the framework of the international project “Disruptive Information Technologies for Barents Euro-Arctic Region” (DIT4BEARS) funded by Kolarctic CBC.
As of today, the organizers have received over 40 applications from China, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Russia.
The programme promises to be diverse and includes a series of lectures and workshops by leading researchers and experts from China, Germany and Russia. Students will get to expand their knowledge of disruptive IT used within a wide range of fields.
Students will try their hand at solving cases assigned by experts of the association of software development companies "RUSSOFT". The participants will be divided into several international project teams to develop innovative IT solutions to their tasks online under the guidance of NArFU and RUSSOFT experts. On the final day the students will meet for a "case-duel" to present their results. The winners will be given an opportunity to take virtual internships at the project’s partner organizations.
