On 28 April, 2021, another meeting of translation workshop was held. This time students and teachers of the Department of Translation Studies and Applied Linguistics and scientific and educational center “Integrative Translation Studies in Sub-Arctic Dimension” met with Igor Khramov, member of Union of Translators of Russia since 2001. Igor Khramov translated "The Pious Dance" by Klaus Mann, "Arne's Heritage" by Siegfried Lenz, short stories by Stefan Heym "Women always disappear/men are always to blame", reports of A. Schmorell's interrogation, hero of German resistance, in a Gestapo prison.

Igor Khramov came to Arkhangelsk within the framework of the Year of Germany 2020/21 from Orenburg charity foundation "Eurasia" and Munich foundation "White Rose". He is to open an exhibition of posters about student opposition movement "White rose" which was one of the most famous anti-Nazi groups in Europe during World War II. Its members distributed leaflets in Germany that included true information about the Nazi regime. The special attention during the meeting within the framework of the translation workshop was paid to the life and destiny of one of the organizers of "White Rose" Alexander Schmorell, who was born in Orenburg. In 2012 he was canonized, the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia and Patriarch of Moscow glorified him as saint.

Igor Khramov vividly and in great detail told about activities of underground group "White Rose" during World War II; about his work in archives and with eyewitnesses to those things; about how undeservedly little is known in Russia about this anti-Nazi group. He shared a story about the beginning of his translator's career, told many jokes and tales about his work. In the meeting a film about "White Rose" with comments by Igor Khramov was shown.

Some Igor's published translations and biography of Alexander Schmorell "St. Alexander of Munich", written and published by Igor, were presented to the Department of Translation Studies and Applied Linguistics.

Head of the Department of Translation Studies and Applied Linguistics and the Scientific and Educational Centre “Integrative Translation Studies in the Subarctic Region” A. Polikarpov thanked Igor Khramov for the meeting and presented him training manual "Literary Translation in the Pomor North" and three collections of scientific papers of teachers and students from a series "Linguistics and Translation".
