International Students from Epidemiologically Safe Countries  Allowed to Enter Russia

In accordance with the Order of the RF Government dated 16 March 2021 № 639-р international students, postgraduates, medical residents and preparatory department students are now allowed to return to Russia and resume their studies in a face-to-face format.

It should be noted, however, that the restrictions have been lifted only for citizens of the countries listed by Rospotrebnadzor as epidemiologically safe.

The list currently includes 31 countries: Abkhazia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Vietnam, Greece, Egypt, India, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, Cuba, the Republic of Maldives, the United Arab Emirates, Seychelles, Serbia, Singapore, Tanzania, Turkey, Finland, Switzerland, Ethiopia, South Korea, South Ossetia, Japan, Venezuela, Germany, Syria, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka.

NArFU international students are required to notify the university’s International Office of the date of their arrival to Russia at least 10 days in advance via email (international.student@narfu.ru).

Students must provide a fluorography certificate dated not earlier than 10 days before the date of arrival as well as a certificate confirming negative COVID-19 PCR-test (in Russian or English) issued not earlier than 3 days before their entering Russia.

Within 72 hours following their arrival international students must repeat the PCR-test and self-isolate on campus while waiting for the result. A negative PCR test is a mandatory requirement for admission to studies.
