NArFU has recently delivered a webinar for its potential students from foreign countries. Among the participants of the online meeting were citizens of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Mongolia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
In his opening speech Konstantin Zaikov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, introduced the university, stressing its important role in the implementation of the Russian Arctic policy, and gave a brief overview of NArFU international activities.
In the course of the webinar potential students learned more about the admission procedure, fields of study in 2020/2021 and the possibilities of education funding from the federal budget (Russian Government quota and studying in the framework of intergovernmental agreements).
Special attention was given to supporting international students through scholarships, including the scholarship for talented students “Freshman 5.0” (“Первокурсник 5.0”). Among the topics which aroused the most vivid interest were extracurricular activities offered by the university – its various sport clubs, voluntary associations and adaptation events.
Representatives of NArFU Admission Board and International Student Admission Office elaborated on the university’s training programs, application and attestation procedure, research possibilities and other relevant topics.
We are pleased to invite our potential international students to our second webinar which will take place on 30 April 2020 at noon (Moscow time) and will be focused on our training programmes in natural sciences and engineering.
