Representatives of the Board of the European Association of Chemistry and the Environment (ACE) have visited NArFU to discuss with the university administration the organization of the International School for Young Researchers “Modern Analytical Methods in Ecology” to be held in NArFU in late June 2020.
The School is expected to gather young researchers from European countries and Russia. In the course of a week the participants will attend lectures by leading scientists and conduct experiments in the university labs.
NArFU Rector Elena Kudryashova told the guests about the university’s strong traditions of chemical research and considerable experience of hosting large-scale international events.
“At the end of May NArFU hosted the 21st Arctic Science Summit Week which united over 400 researchers from all around the globe, and in June 2020 the university will be welcoming the Tenth International Congress of Arctic Social Sciences. NArFU has three times acted as the platform for the national chemistry competitions for schoolchildren”, informed the Rector.
The guests got an insight into NArFU activities in the field of environmental analytical chemistry, training specialists in analytical chemistry and ecology, visited the Shared Use of Equipment Center and discussed the practicalities of organizing the upcoming International School.
