On 15 - 28 February the University hosted the traditional Days of the Arctic co-coordinated by the Russian Arctic National Park.
NArFU Intellectual Center – Scientific Library became a venue for 29 events including lectures, literature, culturology, tourism and photography workshops, Arctic-themed quests and videoconferences. The events were attended by over 1500 people.
According to Marina Osipova, Head of the Intellectual Center’s Project Department, this year’s programme afforded a view of the Arctic form a wide variety of perspectives. Special attention was given to the Arctic Floating University project and activities for children dedicated to the flora and fauna of the Arctic and the history of Arctic exploration. For the two weeks of the celebrations the Library became the center of the city’s cultural life.
