NArFU opened a school of Russian language and culture for students from Germany

07.10.2014

This Tuesday a school of Russian language and culture was opened in the Institute of Philology and Cross-Cultural Communication. Students from 7 German Universities got an opportunity to take a two-week training course at NArFU, all of them received scholarship support of the Russian government.

The project organized by the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Berlin started a few years ago, but NArFU is participating in it for the first time.

Eight Students will study in our university until October 23. They can expect a rich program: four hours of Russian language and two hours of cultural module every day. The program also includes excursions to museums of Arkhangelsk and to the Regional Folk Crafts School.

During the first few hours of autumn school the students got acquainted with each other and with the teachers. Third-year students from the Institute of Philology and Cross-Cultural Communication sang the song “Scarlet Sails” in Russian. We hope that the school participants will be fluent in Russian in 2 weeks – at least fluent enough to sing this song together with their new Russian friends.
