International Scientific Conference “Monitoring and Assessment of the Development of the Arctic Zone”

On behalf of Elena Kudryashova, Rector of the Northern Arctic Federal University named after M.V. Lomonosov (NArFU), we are pleased to invite you to take part in the International Scientific Conference “Monitoring and Assessment of the Development of the Arctic Zone” which will be held on May 19-20, 2016.

Conference venue: NArFU main building (17 Severnaya Dvina Embankment, Arkhangelsk, Russia).

The Conference is supported by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR).

The Conference will include:

  • Plenary meeting and section work, as well as a thematic round table
  • Presentations by Russian and foreign researchers and experts.

Conference sections:

Section 1. Economic and mathematical models of territory development monitoring.

Section 2. Assessment of financial support for the strategic development of the subarctic territories.

Section 3. Monitoring of the key problems and the potential directions of the Arctic development.

Section 4. Assessment of migration impact on the socio-economic development of Russia’s Arctic zone.

Youth section.

Round table: Monitoring and Assessment of the tourist resources of the Northern territories.

Conference working languages – Russian and English.

The Conference proceedings will be published and shipped to participants COD.

Participation forms: personal attendance (full-time participation with/without a report and publication) and remote participation (only publication).

Practical information for attending participants:

Registration fee – 25 €, which includes:

  • Publishing of the article (up to 7 pages in the Conference proceedings)
  • Inclusion in the Conference Programme, participation certificate issue
  • Coffee-breaks and lunches according to the Programme

Conference participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements and accommodation (cover their direct expenses on transportation and accommodation). 

 The Steering Committee of the Conference is ready to assist with reservation at the hotel “Dvina”.

The Conference proceedings and participation certificates will be shipped COD.

Practical information for remote participants:

Registration fee – 10 €, which includes:

  • Publishing of the article (up to 7 pages in the Conference proceedings)
  • Participation certificate issue

Registration deadline - 18 April, 2016.

Personal invitations can be sent to participants on request.

Deadline for submission of materials for publication – 1 June, 2016.
