Every year Russian government provides state-funded spots at universities to international applicants. In 2022, 23,000 such spots will be granted, and 30,000 starting from 2023.
The government scholarship includes:
free tuition for the entire duration of the chosen programme (including the cost of a one-year Foundation programme at NArFU Preparatory Department)
maintenance allowance (for the entire duration of study regardless of the candidate's success).
Allocation of quotas is carried out by Rossotrudnichestvo (The Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation) through its international network of offices, as well as through embassies of Russia abroad.
How to apply
- Select a program and Northern Arctic Federal University among the universities https://education-in-russia.com/
- Fill out your online application and attach the required documents (documents should be translated into Russian and certified by the Embassy/Consulate of the Russian Federation)
- Complete the screening tests in your country
- Receive an invitation to study and a study visa
