«This laboratory has prospects for expanding the scope of research» - Grigory Trubnikov assessed the laboratory of Arctic biomonitoring in NArFU
Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Grigory Trubnikov visited the new and updated NArFU research centers. The guest was particularly impressed work of the staff of the Arctic Biomonitoring Laboratory.
Recall that the laboratory is carrying out a project on the mega-grant of the Government of the Russian Federation aimed at reducing the economic and demographic consequences of the disruption of the health of the inhabitants of the Russian Arctic due to the uncontrolled spread of migratory species of commercial birds, fish and animals.
“This project is of great social importance, because it relates to the issues of health protection of the nation. The project is just getting on the wing, but judging by what I saw today, it looks like there are prospects for expanding the scope of the study. It is necessary to accumulate statistics, expand the sample, be able to compare. This study can provide new knowledge, very important data for the social sphere, the health sector of the Arctic zone of our state, ”commented the deputy minister.
Grigory Trubnikov also noted that he would like to see the results of the work not only in scientific publications, but also in the form of practical recommendations regarding the preservation of the health of the inhabitants of the Arctic. He stressed that it is important to work out the issue from the point of view of legislation.
