The engineer of the Arctic Biomonitoring Laboratory took part in the 3rd International Conference Environment and Sustainable Development of Territories: Ecological Challenges of the 21st Century
The engineer of the Arctic Biomonitoring Laboratory, Pesyakova Anastasia, took part in the 3rd International Conference Environment and Sustainable Development of Territories: Ecological Challenges of the 21st Century, which took place in Kazan, Russia 27–29 September 2017. The Conference was devoted to the Year of Ecology declared in Russia, and is organized by Kazan Federal University, Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan in collaboration with Committee on Ecology and Environmental Protection of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. The conference discussed issues of environmental impact management, global pollution, climate change, strategies for biological resources protection and optimization. At the conference, Anastasia presented a report on the topic "Migratory bird species as a source of highly toxic organic pollutants for indigenous peoples in the Russian Arctic," which was of great interest to conference participants. The report reflected the main directions of the laboratory, its goals and objectives, as well as some results of current research.
