On Monday, the 23rd of November, a great event took place at the Law Institute. We had a festival devoted to the culture of Turkmenistan. It was organized by NArFU students who came from Turkmenistan.

06 – 08 September 2012 on the basis of the Northern Institute for Environmental and Minority Law (NIEM) at the Arctic Centre of the University of Lapland will host 5th Polar Law Symposium 2012. The Symposium was in Rovaniemi, Finland, from The Polar Law Symposium is a high profile annual scientific event attended by scholars, academics, judges, postgraduate students, as well as stakeholders.

During the period from 10th to 11th and 18th and 19th of September 2012 the international law and comparative jurisprudence department assistant – Maxim Zadorin had presented the course of lectures on the rights of indigenous peoples of the North in two Universities of Finland: Lapland University (Rovaniemi) and University of Eastern Finland (Joensuu).
