Integrative Translation Studies in 
Sub-Arctic Dimension

Established in 2011 for the purpose of enhancing integrative translation studies (a new scientific area of translatology), this Center is providing the Euro-Arctic Region with informational and educational services in training personnel with core competencies in theoretical and applied linguistics, translation and interpretation, cross-cultural communication and linguodidactics.

In addition to participating in numerous grant applications, the Center regularly hosts international scientific conferences and workshops. Students are involved in the activity of the Center within the framework of the “Translators’ Workshop”.

The obtained scientifically-based results are applied by the Center in its educational activities and, in particular, delivering of such additional professional education programmes as “Translator in Professional Education”, “International Business Communication and the EU Level of Foreign Language Competency”, “Quality Teaching of Translation at High Schools”.
