Humidity was at 85% and waves were at a height of 50 cm. At this point the vessel had travelled over 1520 sea miles since leaving Arkhangelsk.
The RV Professor Molchanov arrived at the Dikson port early in the morning and at 9.00 a.m. we started our landing. The plan was mainly to conduct environmental and meteorological research in the port of Dikson and at the meteorological station on the island. At 12.00 p.m. (Moscow time) the weather was fair with some clouds: temperature +4°С, north-western wind 5-7 mps, humidity 81%. At 6.45 p.m. (Moscow time) our work in Dikson was done and we set course for the Eniseysky Bay and the Sopochnaya Karga meteorological station.
